Hi I’m Amelia! I have just joined the BFLC family in May 2022!
I am one of the Directors of First Impressions which means I am the first smiling face you see when you enter the firm or the voice you hear when you call the office!
I work closely with Amber to ensure your needs are being met, whether that be by assisting with any concerns you may have with your matter or by ensuring you have a coffee in hand! Behind the scenes, I am lucky enough to work alongside the wonderful team of solicitors with various legal and administrative tasks.
I am currently in my fifth and final year of university studying a double degree in Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/ Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
I believe my core purpose is to support and make a difference to the lives of others. This extends to my professional life where I want to utilise my education by undertaking work that challenges injustices and where I am able to assist people in the most difficult of times. I am lucky enough to be able to now do this every day here at BFLC!
When I am not in the office, I spend my time volunteering in community legal centres, where I am able to help vulnerable individuals across a wide range of legal matters. On the weekends, you can find me at home on the Gold Coast surrounded by my friends and my partner Alex (probably sipping on a cheeky marg)!
Q&A:
- My mantra is … “tough times don’t last but tough people do.”
- People describe me as empathetic, supportive, and positive.
- My role model is … my mum, always!
- If I could have any superpower … I would be able to teleport!
- The BFLC difference is … confetti, colour and kindness!
