Eliza Smith

Hello! My name is Eliza, and I am a legal assistant here at Brisbane Family Law Centre.

I joined the team in November 2025 and have since had the privilege of attending Court, preparing legal and communicating one-on-one with our clients. I have worked closely with all of our solicitors and learnt so much about all of them.

Before beginning my role at BFLC, I worked with my university to teach students and staff about inclusive software. This allowed me to work closely with disabled and additional need students and staff.

Like Sarah, I am currently studying a Bachelor of Business and Law. I first developed a love of law in high school before deciding I would study it at university. Family Law allows me to use my empathy and attentiveness to help people through a difficult time in their lives.

When I am not at work, or university, or studying, or stuck in traffic, I spend my free time reading, crocheting, and spending time with my family and dogs on the Sunshine Coast.
