Hello! My name is Morgan and as Clarissa’s Executive Assistant my role at BFLC is to make sure Clarissa gets all the support she needs to continue supporting others.
After my little one turned two, I realised I needed more adult interactions in my life and that it was time to go back to work. I’ve had many varied experiences in support roles, but this is my first within the legal scope, and I couldn’t be happier to have such a wonderful and supportive team to guide me through.
My background is primarily in musical theatre, where I have directed, performed and run the theatre within the community. These experiences encompass a crazy amount of organisation and leadership, as well as creative thinking and a healthy sense of urgency. All skills which are extremely transferable to so many areas of life. Particularly managing a diary as busy and complex as Clarissa’s!
I have dipped my toes into a large variety of waters, from working on professional tour, to being a primary school special education teacher’s aide, to working in IT and studying web development. I like to scratch the knowledge itch my brain can get in any constructive way I can, building skills and experiences.
Family law is an incredible beast within the legal sector. So many areas of law require leaving your emotions at the door and only focusing on the facts. It’s black and white. Family law requires emotional investment as clients come to us for support in some of the most tumultuous moments of their lives. It’s not just shades of grey, its every colour in the rainbow. That’s why I was so drawn to BFLC. We have a holistic approach to family law matters and heavily consider the emotional load that clients are carrying.
My hobbies are well nestled in the creative realm – Performing, creating art, crochet, baking, reading and creating marketing content for my local theatre group!
