Hi, I’m Renee, a Collaborative Family Lawyer at Brisbane Family Law Centre.

People don’t usually call a family lawyer because life is going brilliantly. Separation can turn your world upside down, so my job isn’t just to give legal advice, it’s to help you move forward with clarity, confidence and as little unnecessary conflict as possible.

I’ve practised exclusively in family law since being admitted as a solicitor in 2020, after starting as a paralegal in 2019 while completing my study in law and psychology at UQ. I also took a brief detour into real estate sales for a hot minute. It was fun, but a little too transactional for me.

My interest in psychology shapes my practise as a family lawyer. I’m endlessly curious, I listen carefully, and I focus on practical, tailored solutions that help clients move confidently into their next chapter.

Clients often tell me they value my calm approach, my ability to explain complex issues in a way that makes sense to them, and my sense of humour during a notoriously unfunny time.

For me, a successful outcome isn’t just the legal result, it’s making the process feel manageable and helping people come out the other side with their dignity intact.
