Bio

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am a Collaborative Family Lawyer here at Brisbane Family Law Centre.

I joined the team at BFLC at the beginning of 2022. Before my role at Brisbane Family Law Centre, I worked at the Federal Circuit and Family Courts as a Legal Case Manager and Associate learning all I could about a variety of family law matters. I’ve seen it all folks!

I was admitted as a solicitor in 2021 after pursuing law as a second degree/career. I have a Juris Doctor degree from Griffith University, a degree which I undertook when my two sons were very young and then I added a third child to the mix in 2017 because I wasn’t already busy enough. In my pre-Australia life, I received my bachelor’s degree in the United States and thought I wanted to work in the fashion industry (makes me giggle to think of that career choice now).

I am happy I found my way to the law and am grateful to be working closely with the wonderful solicitors at the BFLC to assist our clients in navigating their family law matters.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me spending time on a sports field or hanging on a beach with my three children and partner. I also love to travel home to the States to visit family (which I hope will be easier and safer to do soon!).

Q&A:
  • The BFLC difference is…… kindness; plain and simple.
  • My favourite food is… watermelon. Hands down. Best food ever. I could have it every meal.
  • If I could have any super power I would… be able to time travel.
  • I am most excited when… when the sun is shining and I am outdoors enjoying it!
  • My personal motto at home is… if you found it on floor, don’t eat it.
  • My motto in my professional life is…. Practice makes permanent, so do it right every time.
