If you know anything about BFLC you will have some understanding of the style of law firm that we run- it is not your typical law firm (but that is how we like it!)
At Brisbane Family Law Centre we help families’ experiencing separation and divorce to find a way through the mess and out the other side to a better future. We pride ourselves on working with our clients in a way that keeps them out of the Family Law Courts. Do we still go to Court- yes but it is not where we start. We are focused on the outcome for the whole family, even though we might only be working with part of a family. And we are skilled at educating and empowering our clients to be the best people they can be in the difficult situations they face.
BFLC is not like most firms- fixed fee pricing, no time recording and a focus on mediation and Collaborative Practice means many of the usual stressors of legal practice are minimised.
And yes, we are the home of the wellness movement ‘Happy Lawyer Happy Life’ so you can expect that we have the happy lawyer thing worked out.
We are always on the look out for ‘real people’- ones that have stories, lives, families and children. We don’t mind if their families are more important than their work. We also don’t mind if from time to time their families take front and centre in their lives. But what we know we can offer is a workplace where helpful, kind, caring people with a love of helping other people can thrive.

Are you our next Director of First Impressions?
We are hiring! BFLC is on the hunt for a receptionist, or as we like to call this role, ‘Director of First Impressions.’
A bit about the role- Our office requires a full time Director of First Impressions! You will be working 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday in our Albion Office! You’ll be the first face and voice our clients meet when they step into our office or call. You will be answering phones, sending emails, filing and scanning documents, talking to clients, setting up appointments and going on all types of errands (coffee, cake, supplies etc). Each day will be a little bit different but your main goal as Director of First Impressions is to keep the office running smoothly and, of course, to provide assistance to our staff and clients.
