Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a collaborative family lawyer here at BFLC.
I chose family law as a profession as I am passionate about working in an area of law which allows me to build meaningful relationships and help people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. Separation and family law disputes can feel overwhelming and uncertain. My role is to guide you through that process with clarity, compassion, and thoughtful advice.
I have worked in family law for nine years, initially as a Paralegal and then as a Legal Associate to a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 1). I was admitted as lawyer in April 2021. I have experience with resolving parenting or property matters through negotiation or Mediation, or if necessary, the court process. I have appeared at all types of court events and worked with my clients all the way through to trials.
I am comfortable with and understand how business and trust structures work and pride myself on my technical understanding of family law principles and procedure.
I understand that family law matters are not just legal issues and even when things feel difficult, I believe there is always a way forward and I look forward to working alongside you to help you find your new chapter in life.
