Kimberley Williamson

Hi! My name is Kimberley and I’m a legal assistant here at Brisbane Family Law Centre.

I joined the team in August 2023 after undertaking a legal placement at BFLC for my law degree. I’m really excited to be starting a new career in family law after 15 years of working in medical and tourism software businesses here in Australia and across the pond in London. I’ve landed on this collaborative family law path because I’ve seen the outcomes families can achieve where legal guidance promotes mutual respect and honesty.

I am a wife and mum to three kids and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Lawrence – so we have a choc-a-bloc schedule of work/uni/school/family commitments! I wouldn’t change it though (well…maybe I’d change those endless football training sessions on cold Winter nights).

I am most excited when…I’m watching my kids perform (I’m a sideline screamer), learning something new, cracking the spine on a fresh book, or popping a bottle of bubbles for a celebration

My favourite thing about family law is… seeing how much change has already been achieved in the family law space and being a part of a new generation of lawyers championing collaborative practice
